GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the date on Rockstar’s game website, and it has not changed since it was announced on November 6, 2025.

Release date and unlock time are not the same thing
The release date is the day. The exact moment you can start playing is set by each platform and store region. The only time published so far is on the US PlayStation Store listing: November 19 at 05:00 UTC, which is midnight Eastern or 9:00 p.m. Pacific on November 18.
That time applies to the US PS5 listing. For Xbox and for other regions, check the store page for your own account rather than a countdown made for somewhere else.
How the date got here
GTA 6 has been delayed twice:

Rockstar gave no reason for the first delay. For the second, its announcement said the extra months would let the studio deliver “the level of polish you expect and deserve”. The full story is in the delay history.
