Is GTA 6 Crossplay? Cross-Platform Status Explained
The short answer
Rockstar has not announced crossplay for GTA 6. Releasing on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S says nothing about whether those platforms can play together. Crossplay, cross-save and cross-generation support are three separate questions, and none of them has an answer yet.

Can GTA 6 players play across platforms?
Not announced. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S share a launch day, but shipping on two platforms and letting those platforms play together are separate things, and Rockstar has said nothing about the second.
Three things get treated as one question and none of them has an answer yet: crossplay (playing together), cross-save (carrying progress between platforms) and cross-generation compatibility. News about one would not settle the other two.
