Is GTA 6 on Steam? Storefront Status Explained

    Last updated:

    The short answer

Grand Theft Auto VI has no Steam listing. A Steam page would require a PC version, and Rockstar has not announced one — no date, no requirements, no storefront. At launch the game sells through the PlayStation and Xbox stores and the Rockstar Store.

    Is GTA 6 on Steam?

GTA 6 is not on Steam, and there is no Steam page to wishlist. That follows directly from a simpler fact: no PC version has been announced at all. Steam sells PC games, so without a PC version there is nothing for it to list.

At launch the game is sold through the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and the Rockstar Store, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

If a PC version is announced later

Nothing has been published about which storefronts a hypothetical PC release would use. GTA 5 did reach Steam, but that commits GTA 6 to nothing — and Rockstar now also sells PC games through its own launcher. Any “GTA 6 Steam release date” circulating now is invented.

Be wary of Steam pages that use the GTA 6 name: a page is only official if Rockstar published it.
