GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide — Editions, Bonuses and Preload

The two editions

Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 at local midnight. Rockstar announced them on June 24, after a June 18 teaser.

The boxed Standard Edition is a code in a box, not a disc. If you want something physical on a shelf, that is what arrives; the game still downloads in full.

The Ultimate Edition’s 16 extras are listed by name on the official edition page — vehicles, weapon variants, clothing, a tattoo parlor, mod shops and a classic car collection among them. Rockstar names them but does not explain what any of them do in the game. Treat the list as a list of names, not a description of value.

The pre-order bonus

The Vintage Vice City Pack goes to every pre-order and to every purchase made before November 20 — it is not exclusive to people who committed early. Rockstar has not itemised its contents.

Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+. On the US PlayStation listing, that free month auto-renews into a paid subscription unless cancelled.

Preload and release timing

Digital pre-orders can preload from November 12. Boxed download codes go on sale the same day so that physical buyers can preload too. Downloading early does not unlock the game early.

The US PS5 product page lists November 19 at 05:00 UTC. That is one platform in one store region — read your own store rather than copying another region’s clock. The preload and release time guide covers launch week in more detail.

Prices in other regions

The Hong Kong PlayStation Store lists HK$568.00 for the Standard Edition and HK$708.00 for the Ultimate Edition.

Anywhere else, the price that counts is the one in your own account’s store. Prices quoted by retailers or news posts, or converted from US dollars, may not match it.

Not announced yet

• Install size. Never announced. Do not buy storage against a community estimate.
• A PC version. Not announced at all — there is no PC pre-order to place. See GTA 6 PC release date.
• Retailer-specific bonuses. Any extra a shop advertises on top of the above is that shop’s claim, not Rockstar’s.

Before you commit

1. Confirm your platform: PS5 or Xbox Series X|S are the only launch platforms.
2. Decide digital versus boxed code — the Ultimate Edition removes that choice, it is digital only.
3. Check whether the 16 Ultimate items matter to you given that their effects are unpublished. The edition comparison lays them out.
4. If you take the free GTA+ month, note the renewal terms before launch week.
