GTA 6 Cheats and Cheat Codes — PS5 and Xbox Status

There are no GTA 6 cheats. Grand Theft Auto VI does not release until November 19, 2026. Cheat codes are part of a game’s shipped code — nobody outside Rockstar can know them before that code is in players’ hands.

What goes here on launch day

The cheat list goes up on November 19, 2026, release day, and not before. Every entry will include:

If a code stops working after a patch, it gets marked as such with the date it stopped, rather than quietly left in the list. A cheat list is only useful if you can tell how old it is.

How cheats worked in GTA 5

Before launch, this is the most useful reference. Everything below is about Grand Theft Auto V — it is not a statement about GTA 6, and Rockstar has confirmed nothing about how cheats will work in the new game.

Console input: button combinations. On PlayStation and Xbox versions of GTA 5, cheats were entered as sequences of controller buttons pressed during normal gameplay — a specific order of face buttons, shoulder buttons and d-pad directions, entered quickly enough to register as one string. There was no text entry.

PC input: the console. The PC version of GTA 5 added a text console, opened with the tilde key (~), where cheats were typed as words rather than entered as button presses. This is why PC cheat lists and console cheat lists for GTA 5 look nothing alike despite doing the same things.

Cheats disabled achievements and trophies. In GTA 5, entering any cheat switched off achievements and trophies for that play session. Cheats were also not saved — reloading cleared them, and they had to be re-entered.

Cheats never worked in GTA Online. The single-player cheat system did not exist in the online mode. Attempting to cheat online meant third-party software, which was and remains a bannable offence.

How to spot a fake GTA 6 cheat list

Cheat lists are some of the most searched pages for any GTA game, so fake ones appear long before release. Two patterns to recognise:

• Copied GTA 5 lists. Codes lifted wholesale from GTA 5 with “6” swapped into the headings. Easy to spot: the button sequences will match GTA 5’s known codes exactly.
• Invented strings. Plausible-looking codes with no source. These cannot be disproved before launch, which is precisely why they are published now.

Neither can be tested today. A claim to have tested a GTA 6 cheat before November 19, 2026 cannot be true.

What is still unknown

• Whether GTA 6 includes a single-player cheat system at all.
• The input method on either console platform.
• Whether cheats affect trophies, achievements, or save files.
• Anything about cheats and the online component, which remains unannounced.
• Whether a PC version — still unannounced — would carry a text console the way GTA 5’s did.
