Raul Bautista is one of eight characters Rockstar has profiled on its official Only in Leonida page, and his bio is built around a profession rather than a place or a business. Rockstar’s tagline for him is two words: “Experience counts.”

The bio is compact. “Confidence, charm, and cunning — Raul’s a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards.” The two quotes Rockstar gives him are a professional’s: “Life is full of surprises, my friend. I think we’d all be wise to remember that,” and “A professional adapts.”

Then the warning, which is the interesting part: “Raul’s recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table.”

The odd one out

Rockstar’s bios sort most of the cast into two circles — the Keys, around Jason Duval and Brian Heder, and Vice City, around Boobie Ike’s label. Raul belongs to neither. His bio names no city, no business, no associate, and no connection to either protagonist.

The official premise says the protagonists’ trouble starts when “an easy score goes wrong.” A seasoned robber who recruits people ready to take big risks is an obvious fit for that score, but that is a guess. Rockstar has not connected the two.

What the bio does not say

“Seasoned bank robber” invites reading heists into it, but no heist, mission or mechanic has been published for GTA 6. Rockstar’s bio describes a person, not a feature list. The one thing the bio clearly signals is a relationship that goes bad — the crew will have to “double down or pull their chips” — and it does not say which side of that the player is on.
